Last year on vacation a tropical storm was moving inland. I took this picture when the ocean was very violent. As I look at it I see God’s beautiful creation and my kids stand in awe of His masterpiece!

I have been quilting a relatively short time and am thrilled by this technique. I have always wanted to have the ability to be able to draw portraits and now I can…. with fabric

“It is a picture that I did of a young girl ( my granddaughter) in a graduation cap when she is graduating from Prematernelle to Kindergarten.”

I started this quilt project the first year Tammie was at SEW EXPO in Puyallup, WA. I knew the photo I wanted to use of my Dog and the more detail I added the bigger it got. It took me 2 years to finish but it”s beautiful. I have over 5000 pieces and 43 colors of fabric. I didn”t listen about making it so big on the first project but no matter it”s wall size and I have received many compliments.

My dad in his army uniform. He was so proud. This quilt won first place at our local fair. Then it won first place at the Fine Arts Show.  After it won at the Fine Arts show, the local paper did an artical about me and my quilting.
